A Natural Choice: Beautiful Blue Bathrooms

Whether you cover the walls with it or reserve it as an accent color, blue in the bathroom is classic. It’s relaxing and refreshing, and almost any shade will be a beautiful backdrop for when you’re washing up.

Admittedly, blue is my favorite color, and it strikes me as especially versatile. Watery blues can create a soothing, spa-like feel, bold tones can be invigorating, and darker shades can be moody but comforting.

For a strong statement, you can incorporate a tile pattern (Image 5) or faux bois (Image 4). The cobalt tile in the first image is stimulating without being harsh, and a judicious use of navy can make a bathroom cozy the way a warmer color would (Images 3 and 7). If you’re feeling color-shy, try a soft aqua (Image 10).
