When you think of artificial turf you probably think indoor stadium or possibly a small urban back yard (and there was one friend who used it as flooring in his dorm room). But you probably haven't thought to use it on a vertical surface.
This home, spotted in Singapore, made me do a double take. There are many examples of stunning modern design here and this country has a great collection of forward-thinking, modern architecture. Overall the artificial turf you see on the exterior of this house looked good. In person we noticed the dark green color and different texture than the surrounding walls. In other words, we didn't immediately think "astro turf". And it's well done; not like the homeowner slapped it on in a moment of inspiration.
So what do you think, is it a design element worth considering, perhaps in lieu of a wall of real plants? Or should this faux grass be limited to under foot applications?
