Name: Soon-to-be adopted son (15-18 months)
Location: Walla Walla, WA
Since starting the international adoption process, we did not know the age or gender of the child we would be matched with so we opted for a gender neutral theme.
We chose a woodland theme and couldn't be more excited with how it has turned out. We tried to make it tactile and visually inspiring. Crib and circle rugs are from WalMart, and the toy bin is from Land of Nod. The glider/rocker was thrifted, repainted, and reupholstered. The laser cut wood signs (Run Wild My Child and You are My Sunshine) were found on etsy at SpunkyFluff.
Thanks, Elaine! Well done!

Shaw's Original Fir...
What a lucky child who will come home to such a cheerful, welcoming room!
I love the horizon line/paint wainscott. Very creative.
Wonderful! Lucky kid and lucky parents!
I particularly like the mushroom stool and use of the throw rugs to make the design more 3D.
Looks so sweet and welcoming! The rugs are a great idea...love how they add a nice pop of color to the floor and I love even more that they're just from Walmart! Beautiful room! Congratulations to the parents on their future arrival!
Love this! Where did you get that adorable table and chairs??
The room looks so inviting!
I love that it's a theme but not over-bearing. Also, I love seeing other adoptive families featured on here.
I love everything in this room!
This room is great - it's beautiful to grown-ups, and it's going to be a lot of fun for your son. Great job.
Thanks so much!! The table and chair set is a family heirloom, I believe my great granddad made them!
Those rugs really make this room feel fun, in a way I wouldn't have thought a couple solid color rugs could. And that table/chair set! I wish my great grandparents were that cool. They totally look like 3-bears chairs. I love them.
Ah, that table and chair set! I love! Very nice room.
this is a great room for any child. congratulations in advance!!
Well done! I've been in your shoes (son and daughter born in China) and I'm so happy for you!
I love the print/papercut? of the silhouettes of children playing. Great piece. Fun nursery that is pleasant for adults, but full of the spirit of childhood.
This room is adorable! For that age i can suggest you drop the crib down, your little one will be able to climb.
Wonderful, whimsical room! I also love the print of children running - what / where from?
The green rugs are a work of genius.
The advice of "run wild my child" will come back to bite them in the ass, however, in a year or two's time ;)
This room is wonderful! What a great space for a toddler!
