In celebration of the 4th we thought we would give you a sampling of spaces that keep the patriotic spirit alive in their homes all year long with this bold and beautiful (and normally not easy to pull off all in one room) trio of colors. Enjoy!

Love the paintings with the red frames in photo 4!
It seems to work better when the blues are greenish or pastel.
I love the furniture in photo 5, but the floor and stairs are a bit overwhelming.
Yikes. I was just putting red accessories in my pale blue room, and reassuring myself it didn't look patriotic (no offense, but I'm not the type for a patriotic look). Thanks, apartment therapy for dashing my hopes.
I've always hated red, white, and blue together in decor (I know, I'm un-American), but I actually liked some of those. Especially when the hues were a little more muted.
And also, since when are porches considered interior?
The only one I'd consider is pix #7, probably because there is nearly no red diminishing the whole patriotic theme.
It's all in the blue you select. Stay away from navy and you'll avoid looking overly patriotic. Also stay away from stars... ;)
My kitchen is light blue walls with white and red accents (and green and yellow thrown in here and there). My half bathroom is a riff on the kitchen...grey blue walls with burgundy and white.
Red White and Blue is so EASY to get right - You just have to be bold about it:

Love the painted logs! Wonder how they would hold up outside painted like that?
