Very nice, also very "The Ice Storm"...something about these homes always seems slightly decadent to us, like a glimpse into a very theatrical 60's and 70's suburban experience. We are always curious about the families who lived in these homes and can only imagine the cocktail parties!

The Henneberg house looks exactly like the house a high school friend of mine grew up in. I thought it was a Frank Lloyd Wright house though.
Not knowing anything about architecture at that age I was immediately impressed by the open plan of the house, the heated slate floor and the fact that there were no doors to the rooms, just a kind of offset entryways to provide privacy. Little did I know, I would gravitate towards this design philosophy as an adult. I guess the seed was planted.
This is gorgeous. It reminds me of Middlesex in "Middlesex," I am dying for someone to find a similar home, and take lots of pictures inside and out, and post them online.
I absolutely adore this style of architecture and would buy one like a shot - sadly, in England and the part of London I live in, there is very little architecture like this - mostly Victorian terraces and a lot of between the wars semi-detached. The very few MCM architect designed houses around here are way out of my league - the absolute cheapest I've found so far was £800,000 ($1.6m) ...
