Earlier this week, we talked about using a patterned sofa to add interest to any living room. If you love the idea of bringing a little pattern into your space, but are afraid to commit to a large scale purchase like a sofa, consider using pattern on a smaller piece like a chair or an ottoman. Choosing a patterned accent piece rather than a focal point can be a good way to try a little walk on the wild side in your home without overwhelming your space.
From bold to subtle, here are some lovely examples of pattered pieces that will add a little spice to any home:
- Brighton Chair in Nico Stripe from Pottery Barn
- Carly Chair with Anjou Yellow Frame from Crate and Barrel
- Upholstered Dhurrie Slab from West Elm
- Stockholm Easy Chair in Blad Multicolor from IKEA
- Upholstered Silver Stool from Brocade Home

Shaw's Original Fir...
OMG! That striped chair was done PERFECTLY! Loving it! I guess it pays to get it professionally done ;)
The three chairs look good to me.
I love the Carly Chair! That mustard yellow is gorgeous.
I recently covered a small club/arm chair in this fabric from Warwick but am now regretting it:

Does anyone have ideas of what kind of cushions I could pair with it? The room is very neutral (wooden floor boards and white walls).
huv123, what do you regret about that fabric? (Knowing what exactly you don't like about it may help us give better suggestions.) The colors are fairly neutral and the geometric pattern seems fairly classic. You could probably tone it done with some textural white pillows fairly easily, if the strong geometric stands out a little too much for you...
