At first when we spotted this slant-roof home office on Flickr, we were impressed with the tranquil feeling it seemed to have, despite being stocked with dual screens, speakers, drawers, books, greenery and even a guitar. But as we read more about the desk and the owner on his blog, we realized that he's implemented some smart ideas that we can all steal. We're definitely going to follow his two-chairs-for-better-productivity rule!

Christoph Spiegl, a student and jack-of-all-trades mac addict from Germany, likes to call his desk the "creative zone." And to him, keeping a creative space means keeping it as pristine as possible.

And that means lots of creative storage. We love the way books are cleanly stacked next to speakers and the tippy top shelf at ceiling height that can hold all the extras.

But our favorite tip from Spiegl comes from a blog post on his website where he explains why he keeps two chairs:

There are usually two chairs in front of my desk, one with a back which is chilly and one without which I like best for long sessions cause it doesn't let me lay back and forces me stick to the work to get done.

If you want more info on Spiegl's audio and computer equipment, he's got all the details for you (in true geek fashion) right here.
