Someone in our office (who shall remain nameless) was recently chronicling a sad Cake Pop fail so when Lindsay sent me a link to her version of a "5 Minute Cake Pop" I couldn't hit the forward button fast enough.
Cake Pops are definitely having their moment in the sun and they're particularly great for kids who love eating pretty much anything on a stick or to serve at parties. How does Lindsay make them in 5 minutes? With a quick run to Tim Horton's for 'Timbits' - aka doughnut holes!
Check out the rest of the process on her blog, Aubrey & Lindsay's Little House Blog and try not to eat too many at once!

SMART! I make cake pops for parties and such and they are definitely work, so for a quick take, the donut hole idea is great!
Great tip...thanks
And they taste better too. I am not a fan of smooshed cake! The sourcream glazed are the best tasting and because of their dense consistency. They are not very round though, so if you want perfectly round ones you have to use a regular Timbit.
If you want a cute decorated "thing on a stick" with even less effort, a chocolate dipped marshmallow on a stick is also a great alternative. The marshmallow is also a great shape to decorate, add faces, etc.
Yay! Thanks for the share. And easy for kiddos to help. I also heard that these cake pops are more expensive than ordering cupcakes, so great we can do it on our own without slaving for hours.
We do this, too... and told you about it in the comments on your previous "how to make cake pops" post. :-P
I recently had a banana nut chocolate chip muffins disaster.. and turning them into cake pops was pure brilliance. Everyone loved them and not a soul knew that it was all a mistake. :)
