The January Cure is a great way to get your place in shape, but as anyone who is half of a couple knows, it's not always easy to agree on things related to our homes - even when the topic is seemingly straightforward maintenance, cleaning and organizing. One veteran Cure-r shares a tip that brilliantly brings together both sides of the "chore" aisle...check it out:

Reader cmcinnyc has got a smart solution for getting the January Cure project list all worked out:

I put my list, with highlighted priorities, in Google Docs and shared it with my husband. He'll do the same, and our lists will have very little overlap.

Things that I think are paramount are invisible to him and vice versa. We will hash it out and by the end of the week we'll have a list we're both on board with.

We did this last year and it worked really well. Once we both commit to the list, the key is to stay on that agenda, even though each of us separately thinks the place is crying out for different things!

Thanks, cmcinnyc!
