We love mid-century modern design here at Ohdeedoh. Generally, we think of it in terms of homes, furnishings, and even toys. But take a look at what the movement meant for public playgrounds:
Playgrounds from a public housing project in France to an historic California treasure are featured in Dwell's slideshow of remarkable mid-century playgrounds. Much better than the plastic, primary-colored, off-the-shelf pieces you find in today's public parks.
Visit Dwell to see more of this wonderful retrospect of mid-century playground design written by Paige Johnson of the blog Playscapes.
