A Scandi-Style Nursery in Spain

My Room

Name: Mateo (newborn)
Location: Valencia, Spain

I have always been a huge fan of Scandinavian style so this kind of bright and functional Nordic spaces were my main inspiration. I wanted a special colour palette so I finally chose white, different shades of gray and some mint touches to brighten up the whole room's decoration. I really searched for a simple but also sweet and cozy effect for this very very special space at home.

Talking about specific furniture pieces, I would highlight the Sleepi crib by Stokke, the Eames rocking chair, the Tria pack shelves and the silver Miss K lamp by Philippe Starck. I mixed these signature pieces together with some low cost Ikea designs like the Malm chest turned into a baby changing table and the Expedi" 4x4 bookcase.

As small decorative objects, a vintage fruit wooden box used as toy container, some paper honeycombs, a carton deer head, a illuminated star and many other details you will discover in the pictures.

Thank you, Macarena! Readers, you can see even more of Mateo's nursery on Macarena's blog.
