A Simple and Cheap Hack to Secure Drawer Organizers

Drawer organizersare a wonderful thing. They can take a shapeless, empty void and craft it into a powerful system of organization and clarity! Oh are we going overboard a bit there? Ok, sorry. But we do love our organizers. But what we don't love is when they don't fit into a drawer snuggly (which is 98% of the time) and they slide and glide all over the place when we open and shut the drawer. Luckily there is a very simple and cheap solution to alleviate this problem.

For less than $5 you can solve all of your drawer worries in one fell swoop. All you need to do is go out and buy some of the Scotch Restickable Tabs. Attach one end to the bottom of your organizer and then place it in the drawer. Voila. A perfectly secure container which won't shift around when you open and close the drawers. This solution is really helpful because it's obviously very cheap and you can likely secure all of the organizers you have with just a single package. But the greater benefit to this solution is because it isn't damaging to either surface in the slightest bit. If you ever change either your organizers or your drawers you can pick up the tab and remove it. No muss no fuss.

If you're looking for a more streamlined solution, we have talked about one drawer unit and organizer combo which was a match made in heaven: the IKEA Helmer drawers with the Container Store's black melamine organizers.
