A Simply Sweet Child's Reading Corner with DIY Felt Decal

Jill wanted to decorate a corner of her daughter Lu's room to encourage reading and playing. She used simple, inexpensive materials to create a cozy feeling, Goodnight Moon-esque motif.

Jill drew the house roof and chimney with a washable marker and made the cute window from felt that she adhered to the wall (it's removable too!). She designed and hung three prints inspired by favorite children's books (The Hobbit, Harry Potter and The Boxcar Children) and added a child-size rocking chair with a stack of books within arm's reach.

I imagine Lu will spend many happy hours in her reading corner!

Thanks Jill! Readers, visit Jill at Snugglebug University where you will find her instructions for the felt wall decal.
