Even if skulls aren't in your decorating repertoire, you have to admit this is a pretty darned cool project. Most of us who work in the computer industry have more outdated hardware and software manuals than we know what to do with. I'd certainly be more inclined to keep them around if they could take the form of a sculpture like this!
Christopher from Colossal spotted the work by Canadian fine artist, Maskull Lasserre. The near perfect rendering of a human skull is impressive.

I like it, but looks like a time consuming process. There was a company in the 90’s that made a self-contained unit that would scan your head and then cut a 3-D bust from foam, all in about half an hour. I saw it at a couple of street fairs. I tried to find more, any, information about it on Google without luck.
This is so cool. There are no words.
