Name: Eloise
Location: Seattle, WA
I had so much fun creating my daughter's nursery. We repurposed, reused, DIYed, sanded and sewed our hearts out, creating our dream nursery on a budget.
The only new piece of furniture in the room is the crib, which took up the bulk of our budget. Total costs came in at just under $700.
Thanks Karen! Readers, see more of Eloise's room on The Hazel Bloom.

It's a little thing, but the glass green handles on the dresser make the room for me. So pretty and unique!
Awww!! Super cute room!! I love the bold curtains and the dresser, and the open book area. And, the chandelier is to die for!!
We must be having some sort of mind-meld. Our hopefully soon to be adopted infant girl is due in a few weeks and our baby room is green, we have a while glider with green fabric, and a dresser with green glass handles (the dresser is yellow, though). Plus, we also put Eloise high on our baby name list!
Possibly, jsut possibly, the trouble you mention (in blog) with fit of the dresser drawers is that they are no longer in the spaces they started out in. You could try switching them around to see if they fit better.
How fun and colorful and cheerful and...and...(i could go on). Didn't read the blog post but I'd definitely try switching the drawers first. If that doesn't work, move on to lubing the runners by running a bar of soap along them. Unless there's a structural problem that requires repair/adjustment, this remedy works like a charm.
Asolutely charming.
You would never know that this nursery was on a budget. It looks fantastic!
