Do you have a love-hate relationship with LEGO? You love that your kids love it and spend so much time playing with it, but you hate finding (usually with your feet) pieces of it all over your home and figuring out how to store them. Amy's kids were deep into Duplo and she devised this clever and attractive storage solution for her home.
Have you ever stepped on a tiny LEGO piece while stumbling for your first morning cup of coffee? Well, I constantly do that and decided that was it! The kids' LEGOS needed a home and preferably not stuck to the bottom of my feet. So I decided to use our old paint cans. I washed them out thoroughly with soap and water and painted each can a different color of the rainbow. I made the paint cans look a little less can-y and added some just string for new handles and hot glued sisal rope onto the top lip.
Looks great - thanks Amy! Readers, you can see more details of Amy's project on her DIY/decor blog Amy Krist.
