One of my New Year's resolutions is to start drinking more tea and less wine and coffee. Besides the health benefits, who doesn't love all of the stylish accessories that accompany a spot of tea? Here are some of my favorites for the new year. Who says resolutions can't be fun?
1. Tulips Tea Towel from Enormous Champion. Enormous Champion makes some of the cutest card, wood and fiber designs around, and I especially love this bright tulips piece in bright yellow and grey, $25.
2. After a bevy of champagne on New Year's Eve, try some of this Get Clean Red Herbal Tea from Republic of Teas, $10.50.
3. A quaint little Teapot Teabag Rest, to avoid that pesky saucer drenching. $3.95 from Crate and Barrel.
4. My favorite find of the year! (Well, all five days of it.) Ikat Mug from C. Wonder, $8.
5. Gorgeous vintage gold teaspoons from The Hope Tree's Etsy shop, $19.
6. Brighten up your teatime with a Le Creuset Demi Tea Kettle from Williams-Sonoma, $50. I'm partial to Dijon!

I bought a cute tea towel with teal hedgehogs printed on a beige/natural background, because it's cute, right? And then I was like "... what is a tea towel for, anyway?" And then I discovered that a tea towel is really just a dish towel, and the term comes from when it was a towel used only to dry the good tea items. And I was kind of disappointed, since I don't towel dry my dishes. OH WELL. I STILL HAVE A CUTE TOWEL. I WILL FIND SOMETHING TO DO WITH IT.
@lepidoptery - I like to use my tea towels in my bread basket to keep the rolls warm. It is normally thinner than normal towels and lays nice and a plus is I get a super cute towel as part of my tabletop.
I came *this* close to buying a £136 cup and saucer for my boyfriend for Christmas at Fortnum & Mason ( http://www.gourmet-finder.com/images/static/images/large/Fortnum_And_Mason_Herend_Fish_Scale_Tea_Cup_Saucer.jpg ). Luckily, I had already finished my Christmas shopping and was not even close to being able to justify the cost, but my god. Best cup (and whole set http://theglamourden.files.wordpress.com/2011/07/185574_936242615941_81000320_45769250_1039178_n.jpg ) ever.
@lepidoptery - you could frame your cute tea towel - why not? :)
Love the tea kettle...I so want one of those. The colour is delicious.
Don't forget a lovely tea strainer and tea pot! This pot will be mine soon: http://www.amazon.com/FORLIFE-Stump-16-Ounce-Teapot-Infuser/dp/B000FLG8XC
As long as we're all sharing our tea-related wishlist, probably the most expensive thing I have yet to get myself is this chawan. (Probably I will not get it for myself. I must remain strong!!!) I would also like more singing cups. I have a pair I bought from a street full of pottery stores in taipei; they have little blue fish painted inside. I'm kind of afraid to use them, so it would be nice to have maybe a few more plain ones that I can play with--er, and drink out of. XD
@degerkas
Well, I don't really ever eat bread with my meals... I was thinking of using it as one might use a doily/protective pad beneath a vase or other such object. Maybe I'll just put my non-everyday use tea objects on top as a display.
@hzl
Indeed, I don't have much on my walls, either. XD
I bought four of those teapot teabag rest at Target for .99 cents each in four different colors today!
