Can You Believe This Sleek Walnut-and-Aluminum PC Case is DIY?

This PC blows your PC and my PC and every other PC out of the water, design-wise. But would you believe this unique machine was crafted by hand from scratch? Yep, what you're looking at isn't a $10,000 design concept, it is a totally functional one-of-a-kind PC case mod delicately crafted by one dedicated craftsman.

User and "supermodder" Gtek at the bit-tech.net forums submitted some photos of his latest creation: a 35-inch metal and wood, tall and slim PC case modification. It was a labor of love, judging by the lenghy and time-intensive processes Gtek had to go through (you can see some in-process photos he posted on the bit-tech.com forum).

His mod is so good, in fact, that I first suspected it was some new offering from the tech design giants Bang & Olufsen. The sleek lines and modern textures certainly look like the elements of a several-thousand-dollar product.

The aluminum chassis (painted black) is paired with a stained walnut finish and built into a PC case with unique tall dimensions. This would look right at home in a modern living room or home office. Sure beats trying to hide a PC tower under the desk, right?
