Name: Taylor (2)
Location: Atlanta, GA
Color Inspiration: I always said that if I had a girl I would never make a really 'girly' room. Well out popped my daughter (named Taylor) and I couldn't control myself - I fell off the girly wagon. I immediately painted her walls gray and pink and recently found an unusual piece of furniture that now houses the Madame Alexander dolls that my mom purchased for me as a little girl. Awwww.
Tip for Using Color: Create a mood board of colors that you want to use and stick with it. Unless of course you find a piece of furniture or accent that adds some Wow! Bam! Shazammm! Then you can stray. I give you permission.
Colors Used: Taylor's room is made of three light gray walls and one extra-girly wall painted Teaberry (6561) from Sherwin Williams. We then added layers of Lime, Lavender, Pinks, and Grays. Recently we had an old (and very ugly) bench refinished into an antique white and topped it with a gorgeous handmade grey and white chevron pillow with a touch of lavender piping. I love it so much now that I sort of want to steal it for my room.
Thanks for your colorful entry Julie and good luck!

Shaw's Original Fir...
Beautiful room. Im glad you went girly. Question: How do you keep your two year old away for the classic doll collection?
I love the corner where the gray meets the teaberry!
That really isn't that girly. Pink doesn't have to be a little girl color!
This is a beautiful, beautiful and I mean beautiful mature room, one I am guessing she may never grow out of...... Does your daughter keep the room 'picked up' or do you do the work?
Asking because my youngest - at 20 months is a horror and also has a cabinet for her M.A. dolls.
Unlike in your situation, my monster will not leave anything alone and I follow her around all day picking up/ cleaning up one big mess after another.
Maybe my child is just trained wrong? thankyou for the hope though.
Would you mind sharing where the bedspread is from? I'm trying to find a cute pink and gray one for my two year old.
This is a kids room!?!?!? are you kidding- I want a room like this and im 31! Nice!!!
