Thanks to Jennifer for sharing her terrific project with us!

After following all things Apartment Therapy for years, I'd like to share my latest project: a terrarium tree for the holidays. First, a bit of back story. I've recently decided to try my hand at staying home with our little one, and thus our household budget has been reduced. With that said, I've been searching for holiday decor which is both beautiful and economical...
My 18 month old daughter and I set out into the neighborhood to gather items from nature to insert into our 'terrariums.' After we accumulated a full specimen spread, I washed several clear glass ornaments, and stuffed each with one or two treasures. I then found a discarded branch, placed it into a wooden pot, added a few river rocks and pine cones to sturdy the base, and we now have a beautiful terrarium tree. Each ornament tells a story of our scavenger hunt, and I'm growing so fond of the tree that it may become a permanent installation in our home.

Thanks, Jennifer!
