Rachael invited the whole "useful crew" over to help Noah celebrate his birthday: For our son Noah's 5th birthday he wanted a Thomas the Train themed party so I played off the fact that his middle name is Thomas. The theme was "Noah Thomas is 5".

I love the look and sentimental aspect of a handmade party at home so I made him a shirt using freezer paper and some Thomas fabric. I also made a collage using pictures of Noah to form a "5" above the snack table.

I think labels help everything look more put together so I made some for our blue and red treats. I used popcorn bowls from the dollar store to hold chips and popcorn. I made party hats for all the children using scrapbook paper and ribbon I already had.

Since we live in a small apartment, we cleared out our daughter's room and set up all of our train tracks for kids to play with. We also put a Thomas the Train movie on for the kids to watch in there. It really helped to have a separate place for those kids who wanted to watch the movie. Everyone had a really good time, especially Noah!!
