A Timeless Room for Elijah

My Room

Name: Elijah (2)
Location: Memphis, Tennessee

I started the nursery gender neutral because we did not know the sex of our baby when we began and I wanted to make sure that what we chose could work with future babies. I tried to choose items that were classic and timeless so that we would not tire of them.

We don't have much closet space in this home, so I searched for an armoire and found this classic campaign style one on Craigslist. I found inspiration from searching Apartment Therapy and Pinterest. I love white nurseries, and it started out that way, but we have added color and interest over time because no matter how much I love a white room, I just can't keep them for long.

Source List:

Paint for trim and walls: Benjamin Moore Acadia White
Roman Shades: JC Penney
Draperies: TJ Maxx, but we added the pom pom trim
Chair: Babyletto Madison from Babies R Us
Crib: Babyletto Hudson from Layla Grace
Bookcase: Expedit from Ikea
Rug: Union rug from Pattern Society (worth the 4 month wait, but be prepared to vacuum a lot because it shows all lint)
Ottoman: Antique store find. My mother-in-law made a cute slipcover for it.

Thanks, Christina & Ryan!
