With the advent of the iPad and web magazines, some are claiming that the magazine as we know it is dead. If that is true, the printed glossies we love to receive in the mail each month might be a distant memory. This is all the more reason to put those magazines on display rather than on a bookshelf or in a pile.

La Dolce Vita recently featured the home of Kyle from Knight Moves. While Kyle's home is undoubtedly gorgeous, I was instantly struck by the amazing collection of Arts and Architecture magazines displayed on the walls of her office. Even though these vintage magazines are collectors items, it doesn't mean that's all that could be displayed this way. I love the idea of using this sort of system to display your most current reads or favorite issues.
Do any of you put your magazines on display? If so, how?

Can anyone help me find a paint similar to this color? Thank you!
I used to display rows of postcards this way but never thought of magazines, which I love. I also really like the arrangement of the tables in this room - very nice for work or a dinner with room to move around.
Please, people. "Unique" does not mean "unusual". It means one and only of its kind. If what you mean is intriguing, quirky, eclectic, unusual, striking, or original, please use those words, and stop abusing poor "unique". Or keep abusing it -- sometimes I feel as if I am unique in taking exception to the usage.
The second picture looks like a nail salon.
Try piedmont grey from Benjamin Moore for the paint colour. CC-690.
Please give Knight Moves blog its rightful credit. She is a bit pretentious...but great style.
@lolagirl - ha! True.
Unless you aren't planning to read said magazines, you should make magazine storage more streamlined. Having to unclip and reclip magazines would really get old.
Otherwise, it looks nice!
Anyone know where to get that rug or a similar style? Love the chocolate brown!
Thanks in advance!
I really like the cool extending desk lamps. Anyone know where to get those
I don't know if I like this -- feels sort of salon-ish or like a library (and not in the good way.)
Looks like someone set up desks in a wide hallway. Maybe the rug pattern adds to the alleyway look? I don't know.
Boy, folks are crabby today. A lot of super negative comments all over the site.
Love the rug. Cool room
I love this room - gives me tons of ideas.
