This remote Victorian escape resides on a 14 acre plot in upstate New York, separated from the main home by a stream and a short hike. The owner uses it to garden, read, nap, and to just get away.
The cabin was renovated by the owner, Sandra Foster, who turned it into a miniature Victorian mansion. The cabin boasts mostly vintage and salvaged materials, including salvaged doors, cabinets and vintage china. The 9 by 14 foot space is adorned by whites and creams for a light and airy feel, and even has a sleeping loft accessed by a ladder. The tented ceiling is actually Tyvek, stapled to the rafters, which hides batts of insulation.
