What could be more inspirational for an artist than to nestle one's studio space in a completely organic, natural setting? This 1,250 square foot studio space is located on a 3.4 acre piece of land on San Juan Island in Washington.
Designed by Prentiss Architects, the cabin was commissioned as a studio space for a textile artist and her husband who were considering a full-time move to the island. Containing looms, dying facilities, a sewing/assembly area, and an office, the cabin is stacked full of all the necessary amenities for a working artist. The space even contains an open gallery to display artworks and textile pieces.
