For those of us that live in a climate that gets snow in the winter, it can be both a blessing and a curse. We received our first snow storm of the season and instead of focusing on the negative I had to stop and admire the white blanket that now covered everything. What home decor makes its way from storage during the winter months in your home?
For us, the usual Christmas decorations and maybe a few extra blankets make their annual appearance.

Shaw's Original Fir...
CHAIR LUST ahh i need that.
That floor is beautiful, too. What is that?
I'd love seasonal rooms if I could... I remember an old article from a 1980s canadian decorating magazine where there was this Toronto apartment that had two decors, one for the summer and one for winter. To make things easy the owners had reversible pillow cases for the cushions on the bed, two sets of drapes and so on... the bedroom had a burgundy-maroon colored curtain hanging on all four walls which was beige on the other side (well, this was the 80s...).
I'm sure this idea could be adapted to today's tastes easily, and although I was a kind then I remember thinking I'd like my house to be like that later on.
It's pretty but when it looks like that outside (cool and white), that's the LAST thing I want to see IN my house!
Every time I see that artichoke lamp (or the Ikea version), I think of fingernails and it makes me ICK!
Fingernails??? BAWAHAHAHA! I want that tree.
We love warm earthy colors all year round :O)
Meh. No thanks. Love that stump though.
