It's the home stretch of of Kids Design Month and I thought BRIO's kids friendly pieces deserved some attention. I found this BRIO high-chair on MocoLoco.com via aptbroadcast.
Already familiar with their classic wooden train toys, I was surprised to find the Swedish toy manufacturer spinning off into strollers, carseats and nursery furniture!
Quality was always a priority with the trains...

While their baby/nursery products don't seem to be sold here in the US, they still have us in mind. There is a blog on the site about being a parent in New York!

Has anyone ever seen one of these in person?

I like the design of the high chair, BUT having a small apartment myself I prefer the stokke http://www.specialtybaby.com/sttrtrch.html some people prefer the svan http://store.babycenter.com/product/highchairs_boosters/highchairs/4115?stage=all
The problem with high chairs similar to strollers is that you can end up buying multiple high chairs, because of different needs at different times.
The Brio chair wont be able to slide under your dining room chair for storage. While you can pull the chair up to the table, your child will never feel he is sitting at the table, because the bar is in the way. There doesn't seem to be a tray for finger foods, and again the chair wont be right up to the table, so you can't just place a plate on the table or food straight onto a spongeable table cloth. Also your child will need to be 9-12 months, before he can sit in that chair.
I didn't have a car, so my car seats were used for feeding and sleeping (my twins had reflux and had to sleep up in their car seats for two months after they came home from the NICU).
Once I graduated to chairs I fell in LOVE with the Stokkes (I have three), because the seat and foot rests are easily adjustable. The chair pulls right up to the table, so the kids are eating with you. I don't need a tray. When not in use, the chairs push under the table like a regular chair and don't take up a lot of space. They are easily cleanable. They also encourage better posture. Really.
For Svan pros click on the Svan links and look at the comments.
Or you can co the route of bouncy chair, to a transition three-position high chair http://store.babycenter.com/product/highchairs_boosters/highchairs/8571?stage=all ,to a chair more like the Brio and then to an adult chair or some type of Stokke/Svan chair anyway.
