With barbecue season in full swing, summer salads, grilled corn and slices of watermelon will need a place to live on your table. We love the look of these acacia serving pieces for their beautiful craftsmanship and the range of wood tones. Even better, acacia is highly durable so these pieces will serve you for years to come.
Acacia has a rich high-contrast grain making it a perfect material for pieces that will be front and center while you are entertaining. Here are some of our favorite serving pieces:

Glad to see wooden utensils coming back into 'style'.
I have the first set by crate and barrel and i don't recommend it..the quality is good but the bowl is too deep and narrow to mix the salad. ..the salad ends up going all over the place. i like the wider ones.
I have the Crate & Barrel bowls, and I love them! My husband's Nigerian-American, and he calls them "Africa bowls." He doesn't understand why I get so excited to use them as he says, "These aren't anything special; we use these all the time in Nigeria!",
I love these types of bowls. I have seen them for $cheap$ at Home Goods.
Just picked up a set like I saw when on vacation in Hawaii this past winter -
Mine are from Gilt.com (Sale is over now)
I have a large and growing collection of wooden bowls, all found at thrift stores. I like them for decorating as much as for serving food. They work as pedestals and look good hanging on the wall in groups.

Your descriptions & links to #2 & 3 are transposed...
Wooden bowls are one of the sweet things left that seem to still be available at thrift stores without being marked up ridiculously. I have a whole bunch of different shaped, small bowls. Perfect for everything from holding a couple lemons, to nuts, to keys...
I gave away all my small bowls (and I had enough for a large party) but I still have the larger bowl and use it as a storage space for all the types of bread we have in this house.
Eh, forget the salad and watermelon.
I want to eat those bowls!!!! They are so pretty, they look like chocolate fudge swirl ice cream.... drool....
