Accordion lamps have an old-timey but industrial feel that works out really well in contemporary homes. Their articulating arms make them great options for bedside lighting. Here are a few examples of accordion lamps used in the bedroom:
That first image is the Le Klint 335 wooden lamp in the bedroom of Kitka Design. It's a warm and classic way to light the bedroom, and my particular favorite of the examples shown. Which is yours?

This is unrelated, but shouldn't we start the spring cure 2011 supposed one of these days ? Is there even going to be a spring cure this year ?
I may start ahead...
I love their contraption-ness. Had my eye on one over at Restoration Hardware. But I hate the look of a regular old cord just hanging down the wall (we have old lathe & plaster walls, so hardwiring is muy espensivo...). I'd love to find a power cord that looks like a curly telephone handset cord and switch it out.
Came hoping for a round-up of sorts, left disappointed that I'll have to search the vast interwebs on my own for sources, but delighted that you have introduced me to Nickey Kehoe's work!
$700 for a bedside lamp?!?!
While it looks great it's overpriced by about $650.
There is a lovely little shop here in Montreal that makes very cute versions of accordion lamps... And not that expensive!

I second Loora's comments re: Spring Cure. I NEED one!
@Arkay what about cord covers? Your idea for the curly cord sounds cute- but the cord cover is quick and painless in the meantime.
$705 for a lamp that's similar to the one at my bedside at grandma's house. Grandma is rolling over in her grave.
mmmmkay. Love the LeKlint, but I would N.E.V.E.R. pay $700+ dollars for a reading lamp. That "bedside" means x2 doesn't help.
This is why I hacked $7 IKEA desk lamps to be wall mounted beside lamps:

Six years and a few lightbulbs later, still loving them.
AT, I think there's a typo somewhere here...it must be $7.05 instead of $705. Right?
Right?
