Acer Showcases Its New Streaming Hub

Acer just released information on their new streaming hub, named the Revoview. It's similar to the Revo, albeit in a smaller form factor. It's basically a media storage and streaming device for your home. It can be accessed via your home network and will work with many different devices.

The Revoview comes with USB ports that allows you to plug in external hard drives, as well as other storage devices. It naturally comes with a hard drive, which can be up to 2TB in size. Composite, component, and HDMI video outputs will be available at different prices, which haven't been revealed. The Revoview supports a bunch of different file types, from AVIs to MP4s. It can also stream YouTube videos.

Acer also showed an updated version of their easyStore home server. It has a 1.66GHz Atom processor, 2GB RAM, and will come with Windows Home Server. This new version will cost about $500 for a 1TB version. This type of server can easy backup your media files or data from networked computers or simply by plugging in a drive into the home server.

You can also access all of the stored data via the easyStore's web interface, which works with Windows Live. You simply login and access it. This can be setup to also remotely access you home computers from. The storage capacity of the easyStore is 8TB.
