AT DC reader Naama told us about Aqua Creations, the furniture and lighting studio of Israeli designer Ayala Serfaty, whose projects are getting attention around the world. Since 1994, Aqua Creations has created innovative lighting and furniture pieces for businesses and homes. The photos here show Aqua Creations' work in Switzerland, the Dominican Republican, Germany, and Ireland. More amazing photos and information below the jump...

Above the jump at top left are two chairs exhibited in the recent Designers' Saturday (November 2008) in Langenthal, Switzerland. Also shown above the jump are Aqua Creations lighting designs in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic (Casa de Campo), Hamburg, Germany (Museum Fur Kunst Und Gewerbe Hamburg), (Dublin, Ireland (Dandelion Market Restaurant).
Shown on this page above is an installation by Ayala Serfaty at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art, which will soon travel to the U.S. This latest project is a cluster of 24 Soma light sculptures in a darkened room. The effect is stunning.
Below is the Liana style lamp, which can be installed on a ceiling or wall.

I used to work for a showroom that sold Aqua Creations. They are definitely make a beautiful statement. They are also crazy expensive.
I'm not excited about the furniture - but the Chandeliers are stunning...
The chairs are beautiful
Those chairs are fun! I can't imagine them fitting into many homes I have been in, but I really like them!
photos don't do these justice- i saw them in milan at the furniture fair 2007 truly amazing in real life- everyone there was mesmerized!
Usually I don't even bother looking at posts of stores that I can't visit/afford, but these designs are incredible!
They're a bit dated now-- been used in too many hotels and restaurants. I wouldn't want to stare at one for more than a few weeks.
I think these are lovely, I really do. But am the only one who sees a strikingly strong resemblance to a not-so-lovely body part? Is it really only me?????
