We obviously can't speak for everyone, but there are a lot of us out there that love fried food, even though we know it isn't necessarily the healthiest way to cook food. We have to commend companies that continuously try to turn the bad to good.

T-FAL has recently released information about their latest product: The ActiFry &mdash a healthy fryer. We know, we know; this is defying all that we know about our love for fried foods. However, you have to hand it to T-FAL, they're trying!
The ActiFry uses only one tablespoon of oil and uses a combination of continuous motion of food and the heat pulse to cook (what we all hope are delicious) healthy meals. The T-FAL website claims that using that one tablespoon of oil is all you need to prepare enough crispy, delicious fries to feed a family of four.
As you can tell, we're not completely sold on this idea &mdash but would be 100% behind it if we knew it was actually capable of what it's telling us. Especially because it's being sold for $300, and personally, we want to know this appliance is going to be spectacular before we fork over $300.
Are you sold on this ActiFry?

I don't know if I buy it, but I'd love to give it a try. And my southern-boy husband would *really* love to give it a try. ;)
Is this only to fry cut items like potatoes or onions? Could you do a piece of chicken?
According to the video on their website it looks like you can. They show shrimp, too.
Hmmmm . . .
I don't think it's a complete replacement, and a little misleading - I've seen several tests done showing that when frying is done properly at the right temperatures, there is little fat added to the food.
Also, I've oven baked fries with less oil and had them crispy and delicious! ;)
That said, I'd love to see an instore demo or something.
