My apartment is a full-on color explosion — I can't keep a consistent color scheme simply because I love every color too much! To me, a happy home is a colorful home. From accessories to furniture, color is key!
If color were a religion, I would convert. Nothing makes me happy & keeps me more sane than surrounding myself with color. Surprising touches of green or red make for such a refreshing atmosphere!

me too... I love white walls with splashes of color in accessories and furniture.
Psst! Those utensils were on sale on Fab.com yesterday. http://fab.com/5ifmab !!
Can't you just make those utensils by dipping the handles in paint?
@skoggins, I concur. I feel like I could do that this weekend. Actually, I WILL do that this weekend. It can't be that difficult. Outdoor paint for metal has got to do the trick.
I think it's rubberized paint, like the orange you see on tools.
You can buy rubberized paint, too, luckily.
Anywho, color is the bread and butter of a home. I have brightness everywhere. The trick is to be careful how you place things or it can look like you shopped the "Back to School" sales.
Can't stand rubberized utensils/chairs/planters, etc...
...reminds me of my Dad's toolchest at his US Air Force hanger where they repaired/maintained bombers and missiles used to kill people during Vietnam.
I saw those utensils in Ready Made and thought the same thing! Glad to know there's a such thing as rubberized paint. That goes on the list of DIY things to do if I ever get time...
