Yesterday I sat down to look for a few examples of wallpaper, and things got quickly out of control. Four hours later, I was still poring over websites and wasn't even close to a semblance of a post. With wallpaper's rise in popularity, there are SO MANY great designs and patterns out there (I should know. I just looked at every single one of them) and it was hard to limit myself once I started.
The benefits of wallpaper are many. It adds instant color, helps define your room's style, and introduces dimension beyond the comparative flatness of paint. You can cover an entire room, or limit yourself to one accent wall. You can be as subtle or as dramatic as you want to be.
Settle in, because here is a massive round up of modern wallpapers, organized around some vague trends. I limited myself to cool tones this time around. Because my self-discipline is just legendary.

4. Eskayel's Prima Wallpaper in slate
5. Clarissa Hulse's Demeter Stripe Wallpaper in indigo, ice and french navy

8. Indian Summer Collection from Jujupapers
9. Madison and Grow's Elizabeth in peacock on shimmer

#1 is spectacular! But it doesn't seem that the Swedish manufacturer (Mr. Perswall) distributes to the U.S. Any hints on where to get this?
19. 24. 25. That is all.
Retail sources please!! These are fabulous, any clue as to how those of us without designer credentials (or close friends in Sweden) can get them???
Another fantastic source for wallpaper is http://galbraithandpaul.com/wallpaper.php
Check out their fabulous designs. They also have a sample sale on wallpaper, fabric, rugs, lamps, pillows, etc. in their studio in Manayunk, Philadelphia, PA, the first weekend in December.
I think #5 in the first row is misidentified. What is the source for that splatter pattern?
@ecowan. sorry about that. I believe it's Kelly Wearstler.
#1 is stunning.
Love the turquoise colour of number 3 but these are all fantastic!
Dabney: I can't find #5 from the first row (paint drips) on Kelly Wearstler's website. Can you point me to where you found it? Thanks!
@ecowan. okay, I just tracked it down. It's from a Kelly Wearstler-designed room, but the wallpaper itself is from Porter Teleo.
The image is from Elle Decor:

I don't see the paper on the Porter Teleo website. Maybe it was custom? They make beautiful hand-painted paper, so it's possible.
1st row, #1...Mr. Perswall's abstract "Expressions," is an alpha outstanding designed wallpaper.
