Adding texture is a great option when a space feels a little flat… and you don't want to add a ton of clutter. I was glancing around my living room the other day and just felt like there was no dimension to the space anymore. Things just felt very flat and shapeless, as if nothing was popping. That's when I realized I was in dire need of some texture.

No need to insult anyone with a definition of what makes for a textural object; any reader of Apartment Therapy certainly knows a good piece of texture when they see it. For my space I felt like natural texture was the best direction, and I certainly like when that object can perform a function, but I'm open-minded. Some items that caught my eye:
