Gregory has covered Johanna's home before on Unpluggd and we recently ooohed and ahhhed over her pink and gold entryway. Yesterday, we happened to see what Johanna has been up to lately and it just so happens, she's been giving her closet a little TLC...
Using hat boxes and containers from IKEA, Johanna paints the containers pink with gold stripes--which add her personal style to the closet. Scalloped fabric overhang on top of the shelving lends a soft touch to the space and overall charm. Vintage starlet trading cards and artwork bring in Johanna's interests and make the closet one to enjoy spending time in. We also love her organizing choices using sectioned off drawers for belts and playful pink stands as hat displays.

How easy would it be to install such drawers. The closet looks like it received a professional facelift. If someone knows how to install these tiny shallow shelves without calling a designer to my apt, PLEASE SHARE.
Thank you!!
such inspiration.. .love the scallop overhang, painted boxes, and pink!
sassifrassi - the entire closet looks to be made of Ikea's Pax wardrobe system. Hope that helps!
I especially love the vintage hats (is that a MIME hat?!?! how amazing is that?), the hatboxes, and the scalloping on the shelves. We are halfway through overhauling our bedroom closet, but I don't think my fiance would let me scallop the shelves as it may look too 'girly'. Ah well - he did let me wallpaper the walls at least! I'll certainly 'steal' the hatbox idea for the top of our closet.
One suggestion - I would buy some small, circular, white stickers to cover the other shelving holes... it would finish things off quite nicely. Otherwise, I love this - I have a very similar taste! Thanks for sharing.
