Name: Adelaide (1)
Location: Sonoma County, CA
Division: Single Room
Room Size: 61 square feet
Tip for Living Small with Kids: Have a place for everything so that when those 10 minutes come where Jr. is playing happily in a corner, you can shift into hyperspeed-cleaning mode and put everything away. But don't stress about the mess if those 10 minutes never appear. The reality of a small space is that it is not going to look perfect all the time, especially with a mini me. A happy, creative child is worth far more than a sparkling clean house anyway.
Biggest Design Challenge in this Room: There is not a money tree growing in my backyard to help me buy furniture that fits perfectly into this very small space. The placement of the door and window make furniture and storage arrangements tricky.
Favorite Thing About This Room: Somehow this tiny room has turned into one of my favorite rooms in the house. Through lots of thrifting, crafting, and working with what I had from my and my husband's childhoods this room has come together to express a creative, relaxed vibe that perfectly reflects our take on life. Between the glorious amount of sunlight that pours in the window and the cheery colors throughout, this room always brightens my day.
Thanks for your entry Heidi and good luck!

White Enamel Flatwa...
I love all the details. I want to see more close-up pictures of all the little cuteness - too bad there are only 5 pictures allowed. It's inspiring to see what can be done on a budget - the balance of craft and thrift looks great. So many entries obviously have had a lot of money dumped in but this entry is obviously a labor of love... which I love. Now my wife and I need to do something similar for our little daughter's little room! Good job!
I love the chair!

Where is that little vintage print of the Lord's Prayer from?? Adorable
Cute clouds :)
Love the chair, happy to see such a cool mama is from my same neck of the woods!
I absolutely LOVE this! Such attention to even the smallest of details. Oh what I would give to have the talent to put together such a wonderful room for my little guy on a small budget!
Thanks, everyone!

I'm pretty much 'not feeling it' on all the other entries :). I'll stop commenting now. love ya.
Where did you get the clouds from?
Must have clouds!
Love the clouds and chair. Great idea on the mini-bookshelf.
THAT CHAIR!!
I made the clouds by just freehanding a cloud shape on 2 pieces of material and then sewing them up.
