My son is almost 3 and we're still getting use out of these soft, light-weight muslin blankets. In my book, they're a must-have for spring/summer babies. Once they've outgrown the swaddle phase, use them in the stroller to protect against the sun or as light summer blankets for older toddlers. I also take one on summer car trips and drape over my napping son in the air conditioned car.

Shaw's Original Fir...
Yay! I recently bought a set for my baby girl due in July. My son was a January baby, so otherwise, we only have very thick blankets!
without a doubt, the best blankets ever. my boys are 3.5 and we still use them every night. and they're still good as new! well, maybe better, because they're softer. :)
best blankets ever! 2.5 years and still going strong. bought a set for baby number 2 on the way and also give them as gifts to friends who have babies. so soft, so versatile. my son still sleeps with his every night. and i love that they come in a four pack - there is always a clean one at hand.
"Muslin" not "muslim"!
I love these blankets, but not for swaddling. You need to have some serious swaddle skills and a totally motionless baby for them to stay on for longer than 5 minutes. However, I do love using them as a light airy blanket for my 3 month old, and they are perfect to use as a sun shield when out and about.
What size are the blankets?
I disagree with the swaddling comment! My now 2.5-year-old still sleeps with his A+A blankets every night. Yes, he likes to have at least 2 in bed with him. :) He weighed 10 lbs 7 oz at birth, and he was a super wiggly baby, but we were able to swaddle him with these for months!
Best all purpose blankets ever. Especially in Arizona!
Well, obviously it's possible, but we prefer the swaddle sacks with sturdy velcro tabs to make changing in the middle of the night a snap. We got the 2-pack from Target and I love the ones with the apples: http://bit.ly/kPqFN9
LOVE these. Best blankets/nursing covers I have. I got these at Target for 30.00 per 4 pack FYI
denizenOf20540 - thanks! that's the 2nd time in a year I've made that typo!
Also wanted to add that these worked great for us as swaddlers for the first 3-4 months then we did switch to a Miracle Blanket.

Agree, these are fantastic blankets, and useful long beyond most baby blankets. Just a small point, I think the Target version is smaller than the version directly from Aden and Anais, so there is a reason it costs less.
I just bought a couple packs for our third baby, due in June. Diapers.com has them at a significant discount, and they are the full size ones.
These are fantastic, and I also disagree that they are bad for swaddling. I swaddled both of my girls, and I used so many different kinds of swaddling blankets, you wouldn't believe it. I didn't have these ones until my second child, and they are one of the few things I wish I would have had the first time around! Their size and strength makes them wonderful for swaddling.
Love these. They are my son's "blankie" as well. When he was smaller, I cut one into 4ths and hemmed the edges so they wouldn't wrap around his neck.
They're slightly cheaper on Amazon right now.
My 5-month-old daughter loves sleeping with these blankets and cuddling them in her carseat, but they never worked as swaddlers for her. It just depends on the baby and how much they like swadding. That's okay, though, we get plenty of other use out of them, and I really like them.
