Dare we call the pothole situation in Chicago a crisis? We've heard of bike accidents, car accidents, tire/wheel damage, twisted ankles, and lost items. On my own street, there are dozens of deep holes; leaving home by car requires great caution and biking keeps me in the alleys until I'm in a "safe" zone. Chicago Public Radio has been gathering snapshots of what our city's residents think are the worst of the worst in its "Adopt-a-Side-Street" project. Today is the final day to VOTE:

I wish I had known about this. I would have submitted our street. It's the worst!
If you're calling it a "crisis" then you should probably declare a "war on potholes".
