Commercial Flour Sa...
So cute...can't take it. For me, having a dog--more than any financial reason--is the biggest reason I would take on home ownership versus apartment life. Is that so wrong?
I think greyhounds are the BEST accessories for furniture. Elegant, regal, stylish... Mine is black and she goes with EVERYTHING.
I was searching online yesterday for photos of home craft studios, looking for inspiration for my own. After about 30 minutes I realized that all of my favorite studios had a dog in at least one of the photos!
Great post!
I will admit to the fact that dog-ownership was half of the reason I decided to purchase a home. That my rent was nearing mortgage costs was the other half of the decision.
So cute! Especially Beatrix the Brussels Griffon (I think?) in #6!
One of my dogs -- Owen the non-designer Schnoodle -- runs to get in every picture. I don't think I have any photos of my house or furniture without him in them.
omg basset hound!!
Love love love.
For me, getting a dog was a big motivation for getting a house! Good thing we bought the house, too, since the dog has since chewed up a fair amount of molding near the front door... :)
palindrome- my 2 doxies are the same way!! They follow me around the house ALL day (work from home) & if I'm taking a pic, they dash in (or do their best to).
The more annoying is that when I'm on my knees cleaning anything on the floor or low to the ground, the newest pup will actually snuggle and try to take a nap on the back of my calves- and KEEP trying even though I move every 30 sec!
O-M-G! Moe is the spitting image of my little bug, Clooney. Except my dog's a bit smaller (and a girl). Too cute!
Really?
When I see dogs in AT photos I just think.... "Hey there's a dog on that beautiful chair. Bad dog! Get down."
I'm from the camp that dogs belong outside.
I have a problem finding my own stray hairs on the couch. Dog hair just puts me over the edge!!
Beatrix is adorable. She's such a funny little furball.
O.M.G the little moppet Beatirx is just too friggin' cute!!!
As a new dog owner I can say that my new puppy has really made my little apartment feel like a home
Loved them all. Great post :)
I might faint from the cuteness!
I've actually been in love with Bacon since I first saw his face on this website. Is it okay to be in love with a stranger's dog?
Makes me want a dog so badly but I'm afraid my cats might eat it.
These pups sure make their spaces look more inviting and homey.
p.s. Bacon!
These pictures are delightful. I can't stop smiling when I look at the one of that little white dog proudly sitting on the couch.
So sweet, all.
I wish the sweetness, and openness to all breeds (mixed breed and pedigreed, "lowly" mutt and AKC registered, finely groomed and a little rough around the edges ) was also (automatically) extended to those who open their homes here to house tours.
Well, at least we extend that courtesy to their pets.
PS: I have that photo of Beatrix on my desktop from when you first posted!!!! When I need some sweetness, I open that photo.
I love the mix of wonder, puzzlement, small-thing-in-a-big-world that picture evokes.
Being able to have a dog was at minimum 50% of the impetus for me to buy a condo.
Those dogs are ALL adorable.
Please do another post like this but with KITTIES!
Bacon! just had to drop in to make sure someone said it. i see brittanykate was on the job, too.
Seeing puppies and dogs on home tours ruins them for me. Mostly because I get so distracted by my inner child yelling "Omigosh puppy yay!"
Kittens do the same.
The problem with pets (at least, with cats) is they have a sense of decor of their own. I'm finding it difficult to persuade my two to part with a shipping box, complete with brown paper packing material draped outside, because they LOOOOVE it so much: clubhouse, nap spot, rustling leaves facsimle, mountain perch, etc. Right in my lovely library! Oh well, they are roommates, too.
Dogs should always be on furniture. Always!
Would love to see a recent pic of Beatrix the Beatific, just to see how she turned out. Adorably, I'm sure.
Oh, and because it needs to be said....
Bacon!
Aww.. the greyhound is so cute! I think my fave dogs are greyhounds and border collies. I have a sweet little border collie named Oreo that loves to get up on everything and curl into a ball.
@ clickchick: I'm very sorry you can't join us in our doggy squee fest! These pics all make me smile and giggle and make me feel all warm and happy. I have 2 Cavaliers and they are the light of my life--but don't tell my boyfriend that--and are allowed on any and all furniture.
And since I'm such a lemming... BACON!!!
Oh yeah...you guys need to start a Pet Therapy page. It would be so awesome!!!
clickchick, I feel the same way about human children, but never about adorable doggies!
Beautiful greyhounds! I have wonderful photos of my three (now departed) lounging on my sofa and it warms my heart each time I see them.
Another cute one: http://community.apartmenttherapy.com/contests/smallcool/2011/entries/897
Sweet post, thanks.
Very nice!
When I got my whippet, I did it with full knowledge that he would expect to be allowed on every piece of furniture. His bony little bod has very little padding and he can develop sores if he is forced to sit/lie on hard surfaces too often. Besides, I love having him close so I can love on him. :o)
Beatrix is ADORABLE!!!
I'm always surprised to see so many dogs on furniture! We have 3 dogs and I love having them on the couch/bed with me, but my husband is so against it I have to leave them on the floor :(
Bacon! <3
I don't understand how someone can claim to love dogs and cats but be practically repulsed to see them on furniture. I think they should reconsider the word " love".
I think these are purely adorable.
MUST...BOOP...ALL...THE NOSES...
