I always imagined I would end up an archaeologist when I grew up, or perhaps a scientist, so it was quite the surprise that I ended up a writer and interior designer. Because of my love of science, old things and other cultures, my dream living room would be a bold mix of bright colors, global patterns, modern accessories, Mid-Century Modern-inspired furniture pieces and more.
1) Anthropologie's Chroma Armoire (not available anymore, but the paint pattern is totally DIY-able)
2) TOKEN's Poly Pop Pendants
3) Now I know my ABC's by Nathalie Nahas
4) Wood Casting (molten metal and wood furniture) by Hilla Shamia
5) Gus* Thatcher Sofa
6) Ukhamba African Basket
7) Stig Lindberg-designed televisions for Luma
8) Colorful blankets from the Portfolio of Navajo Blankets (not the originals, of course, but would love current blankets with similar patterns and colors!)
9) Peaches & Keen's Woven Bead Planters

I dig it!
I love everything, which shows that my heart lies with MCM.
Love the armoire.
Sweet!
Those pendants are gorgeous. I also love the sofa. Thanks for reminding me of Gus Modern! I'm closer and closer to the day I need a new sofa.
Also like the armoire!
