Continuing with the editorial team's efforts to get to know ourselves better by discovering just what sort of hotel room might fit us best (all the better to prepare to find the perfect spot to stay for our next trip) it occurs to me that I might be searching for some place dark and dramatic to lay my head at night.I imagine this would be a hip boutique hotel somewhere in Europe. The outside would look ancient, but the inside would be all modern, dark and dramatic. Save for a few bold, geometric art pieces, the only color in the room would come from the people in it — the rest of the decor would be classic yet disarmingly black and white. In this way, it would become the perfect spot to rest after a long day of sightseeing, but still be interesting enough that you wake up invigorated and ready to tackle the day. Enjoy this mix (borrowed from from dream sources (1stdibs) and totally affordable places) of black, white, gray and dramatic all over.
