Affordable Art Inspiration: Postcard Swap

After a long weekend, we've already got summer vacation on the brain. Bright skies, white sand, adventures, new places and inspiration, it's all fighting for top priority in our schedule. But for now, work calls and we will find inspiration, instead, in post cards. Lovely vintage postcards make for easy and affordable artwork that can still manage to transport.

We found this inspiration on the blog Hula Seventy and love Andrea's idea of starting a Postcard Swap. In her case, she and her friends made the postcards (and followed these directions for the swap), but we love the idea of also sending and receiving modern and vintage postcards.

And swap or no, we've been collecting cartes postales for years and have them in a shoebox in the closet. We're thinking of breaking them out to make an impromptu collage on a blank wall to help welcome in summer.
