We love the vibrant and affordable Dash & Albert cotton rugs Maxwell turned us to last year. Just as much, we've found another affordable cotton rug that comes as large as 9x12. It's a great way to cover a larger floor area without breaking the bank:
At Loggia Home, find soft blue and white Swedish Stripes:
...or bolder colors as found in Aloha:
We also like the classic-looking Mattress Ticking and Round Barn Brick:
Most of Loggia's designs are more traditional looking than Dash & Alberts', but we love them just for that. Many are available from a runner size right on up to 8x10 or even 9x12. Prices range from $34 to $400. See more (including some wool selections) at Loggia Home (the website is a work in progress).

Shaw's Original Fir...
How thick are these rugs? Will they be thick enough to stay flat in all 4 corners? I hate those thin rugs that get picked easily up by a vacuum cleaner.
For now, I will stick with my sissal rugs.
I'm looking for a small rug for my kitchen, but I don't want anything slippery. I wonder whether any of these would work, if they are cotton, even with a rug pad. My guess is that these rugs would be best under furniture so they don't slip.
I've been looking at these types of rugs for my kitchen, too, but the sliding/curling is a concern. I like that they're traditional, though, and easily washable. I was wondering if it would be possible to sew velcro or something to bottom around the edges, and use that to attach it to a non-skid, slightly more substantial rug pad. It could still be separated from the pad easily enough for washing (and the pad could be shaken outside), and hopefully the pad would give it some weight and traction to keep it in place. Has anyone tried something like this??
I love these! I am almost certainly going to purchase one after our move next month. Probably the light blue and white striped.
Those are all Dash and Albert rugs.
alyrae is correct -
These are Dash & Albert - Loggia is just another retailer

This is a little off-topic, sorry, but do people have advice on what is the best type of rug to absorb impact sound? I just moved to DC into a rowhouse in Dupont Circle which is perfect except the upstairs neighbors just got back from vacation and the impact noise from their footfalls is really loud and disturbing. It is percussive and wakes me up in the middle of the night. I believe the previous tenants upstairs had carpets. There is a rule about 80% carpeting in the condo's handbook, so I am crossing my fingers (tightly) that I can speak with the upstairs neighbors about it nicely and ask/convince/coerce them into putting down area rugs. Meanwhile, now that I know how thin the floors are, I want to get area rugs to avoid disturbing *my* downstairs neighbor. I am getting conflicting advice on noise abosrbing carpet from Google searching. Do you all have any thoughts on what type of rug is the most noise absorbent? My guess is that these cotton ones would not do the trick? Thanks and sorry for the off topic!
"do people have advice on what is the best type of rug to absorb impact sound?"
It's not about the carpet - It's about the padding.
I bought a large striped Dash & Albert rug, which I love (and these shown ARE Dash & Albert). If your are concerned about comfort, I recommend a nice thick rug pad. With that, I am very satisfied with my rug purchase!
I also have a couple of striped runners that I use in my upstairs hallway. The rugs are very durable and am very happy with them. Love Dash & Albert!
