One of the things we like to do is to switch things around, whether it's mixing up arrangements or making new pillows, it keeps the apartment feeling alive and fun. Although we aren't going to embark on any costly changes any time soon we found a bunch of decorating ideas that involve the very affordable paper doily. These paper flowers were made with nothing but paper doilies and orange thumbtacks and can be augmented or removed easily. We found it on citypix photostream and instantly fell in love with the simple, delicate decor.
These Festive Fluffs remind us of the super popular Martha Stewart Pom Pom that have been popular for a while. This way of putting together a pom pom is way cheaper and you can make them any color you want. We found them on Petunia's Blog and loved her DIY idea.
Courtesy of Design Sponge this lace jar can be used for storing odds and ends, q-tips, herbs, rice, pasta, sample cosmetics, and they'll add a bit of whimsy to your home.
Have you used doilies in your decor in another way?

Ooph, imagine the spackling you'd need to do after removing all those thumbtacks though!
