Aiden & Mia's Superb Shared Room

My Room

Name: Aiden (3) & Mia (5 months)
Location: New York

This room started as just Aiden's when he was 3 months old. It took a long time to get to where we felt it was "finished" and then Mia was born! Parenthood, right? As soon as you figure something out, it all changes!

We wanted to create a shared room that didn't feel too baby-ish or geared toward either gender and we really enjoyed the process.

We left room in the middle for free play and made sure everything has it's place so it's easy to for the kids to find (and play with) and easy to put away. Aiden is usually the one to say "it's cleanup time, Mommy!" Of course, his cleanup sometimes consists of playing with things in the vicinity of where it should go. But that totally counts.
