AirMouse: The Wearable Mouse

We have talked about air mice before, the Movea Gyration Air Mouse and the Logitech MX Air Mouse, just to name a few, but the AirMouse from Canadian firm Deanmark Ltd seems to have more in common with tech from the film Minority Report than the other mice with similar names. The AirMouse is one incredibly cool wearable mouse.

Looking quite unlike any other mouse we have ever seen, the AirMouse is worn on your hand like a glove allowing for increased speed and accuracy by seamlessly aligning itself with the ligaments in your hand and wrist. The right and left click mouse buttons are integrated in the palm, and the AirMouse which is equipped with an optical tracking laser, lasts for a week on single charge.

Due to it's unconventional design, the AirMouse significantly reduces the risk of carpel tunnel syndrome from mouse use by keeping the hand and wrist in a neutral position. Thanks to the device slim and unobtrusive design, you can still type at your keyboard with ease while wearing the AirMouse.

We think the design of this mouse is revolutionary and we would love to try one. Granted, it does not quite look or act like the tech Cruise was using in Minority Report or Downey Jr. in Iron Man, but it's definitely a pretty good start.

The AirMouse is scheduled to be released by the end of the year for $129.
