With Apples announcement of Airplay last fall more and more companies are slowly rolling out compatible hardware. Initially, just the Airport Express and Apple TV were available for those who wanted to stream their media from iDevices to their stereos and TVs. Now manufactures are rolling out Airplay compatible devices across the price spectrum.
- Pioneer VSX-1021: While it is certainly not the first and by no means the last audio receiver to receive the Airplay treatment. Pioneer did make it the least expensive thus far coming in at $549.00. Making it a wallet friendly addition for any home audio enthusiast who desires 7.1 surround sound with their Airplay.
- Philips Fidelio SoudSphere WiFi Speakers: Priced at $1,100.00 and debuting in May these speakers caught out eye due to their winning appearance. The price is very steep for the speakers but they should offer a convenient way to blast your tunes and not embarrass the style mavens out there.
- Bowers & Wilkins Zepplin: The Zepplin exudes style and is a classic speaker system for Apply products in is own right. We love it for its unusual shape and and high marks in the audio department. It is expensive for its size and options at $599.95, but it does sound excellent.
