Name: Alejandro
Location: San Francisco, California
Alejandro's story: My little 350 square foot apartment in San Francisco's Lower Haight is all about doing more with less...
Starting with a neutral color foundation and then layering statement pieces of color, this studio aparment packs a lot of personality. The south east facing bay window helps too:)
The priority in this space to make the apartment look and feel bigger than it is which is helped by maintaining low sight-lines and having a zero clutter tolerance.
Thanks, Alejandro!

always wondered what they looked like inside...correction....COULD look like inside. What a great job of making a little space look bigger. And after all, you've got all of SF to wander in and that increases your enjoyable square feet, doesn't it?
Beautiful. Thank you.
I love this sweet little apartment. And it's so sunny! And SF is the greatest. Looks like you actually have a lot of storage in the kitchen.
This is SO much nicer than my studio in Manhattan was.
I could be very happy living in that space. Love.
Alejandro-1st of all, great name!
2nd of all..when I read the Haight, I wondered where this little place might be then I saw the view from that last slide; now I know.. One of my favorits areas in SF..
Nicely done. Love the sheers you hung on the windows and all that light that bathes the room. Would love to see more; specially the bathroom and more of the kitchen.
I wonder how Alejandro does come June with the street fair and the noise that comes with it; it can get LOUD but it's a really fun fair. :oD
Thanks for sharing.
It's amazing how much thoughtful planning and storage can really expand an otherwise small space. I went from an apartment that size to my current one which is about 150 sq ft. larger but both suffer from poor space planning and lack of storage. I would KILL for those kitchen shelves and recessed closet space. Cute place! Also, any ideas where that couch may have come from?
Alejandro, I love your apartment. You have made it so cheerful. It seems like a great place to come home to every day. Thanks for sharing the photos!
What a perfect little apartment!!
Very sweet little apartment that actually looks bigger with all that light.
How sweet is this apartment? It is perfect.
Oh my gosh Alejandro, I used to live in that building when I lived in SF!!!! How I miss the city and enjoyed you sharing your little 350 square feet of it. I first lived in the upper haight but my how lower haight has been developed since I left in 97'.
I now live in 2600 square feet on a half acre and am constantly looking for ideas on pinterest which is where i found you. There are MANY days I wish I still had that little but with children, more space is ideal. Especially since i have a boy! Thanks for sharing!
This is a wonderful, sunny, little apartment. Love it, nicely done !!!
Looks like you live in my old building. Trip.
Well done, great use of space.
Wow...I can't believe it's that small. You did a GREAT job keeping it open and airy!
Sigh, I left part of my heart in that city.
Neat...clean...uncluttered!
YAY!
Beautiful! I just moved out of the Haight (lower, to be exact) and this makes me miss it even more.
When I lived in San fran circa 1980-82,I had an apartment this size that cost me $45 a week.Of course you had to step over tranny hookers and drug users to get to it,and it certainly wasnt this cute! None the less, good memories!
Lovely place, does anybody know where the couch is fom?
LOVE!!
That is the largest 350 sf I have ever seen! I could totally be at home here. Everything you need, and nothing you don't. Thank you for sharing.
::Very Artsmart:: ... I find your comment to be inconsistent with most of the comment rules, which is a super short list. And frankly, Very Notsmart. I only enjoy this blog when posters are open minded and considerate. I think AT does a great job of satisfying a wide range of tastes and styles through an infinite range of budgets. I would love it if you would post a heartfelt apology for the impact your comment may have on others. Why spread hate, there is so much already? This is just about our homes.
I love the sheer fabric curtains- the muted colors pull all the different pieces of furniture in the room together! Is that an IKEA fabric? Well done.
Love the view out the window and...is that a picture rail? I LOVE picture rail!
Love your home, very light and airy :)
This is the kind of house visit that makes me want to get rid of all my stuff, throw over my current life, and move to a new town, into a tiny adorable place with a great view and light. More, more!!
I love your place!
beautiful. bright and distinctive.
It looks good, and again , more realistic than some AT small spaces. Do I see b/w tile in the closet near the bed? Is that a vintage credenza in the LR next to the kitchen entrance? Does no one in SF, NYC etc. live on the ground floor?
Lovely wee place! And your kitchen! Love it all.
I like your philosophy as well as your comfy "nidito." And nothing else is like that San Francisco light.
Thanks for your comment. I purchased the couch in SF at a furniture shop called Therapy on Valencia Street in the Mission District:)
Thanks for all the comments and love for my little apartment. After being a fan of this site for so many years its a real pleasure to contribute to this community after it has influenced me so much in the past.
I was cruising Craigslist and found that this place is up for rent. http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sfc/apa/3639434255.html
You've done a wonderful job! Your personal philosophy shows through in the space and I can actually feel the good vibes through the images. Love it!
Great job! I would have guessed this was a lot bigger than 350 sqft.
Beautiful little apartment! Where'd ya get that fabulous blue bedspread?
Wow, this is great! I wish there were a list of where he got things - especially the bed platform!
great but where do you eat? Do you have a hidden tray table and use the couch or is there a seating area in the kitchen?
