Name: Alexandra and Josh
Location: Outer Richmond — San Francisco, California
It's hard to make a studio work, but I feel like Josh and I have made our studio more than work, we have made it into a wonderland that I would not trade for any one bedroom in the city.
With no place for a bed we created a fort out of an Ikea curtain system = magic. With little closet space I created a clothing rack out of plumbing pipes to showcase my most whimsical attire = magic. Also, our house is sprinkled with little bits of our personality. The Oasis picture in the dining area showcases my favorite band, the rocking horse on top of our filling cabinet use to lull me to sleep as a baby and the light clamped to our headboard comes from my parents garage at the house I grew up in. It's our fairytale oasis (pun surely intended) in a busy city and a busy life. In fact, it might rival Disneyland for the most magical place on earth.
Thanks, Alexandra!

Precious!
Thanks Apartment Therapy! It was fun! I forgot to include the link to my blog.... http://sing2memuse.blogspot.com/
It came from my parents garage. I am pretty sure you can buy it at a home depot. It just a work lamp that clamps onto anything really.
I love studio designs/decorating ideas but would have appreciated more pictures of the actual space. Or at least a layout.
oh im loving what im seeing,,, but these darn house calls are always such a dreadful tease!!! PLEASE do a HOUSE TOUR asap!!
i love your bed comforter and headboard!
I'm sorry but these are really lousy pictures. Can hardly see this wonderful space. Don't really want to look at a rack of clothes no matter how pretty and stylish the clothes may be. Please add more pictures of the home.
I'm with Tracy333. That first picture creates interest, but when there are only five photos total, why is one is a close-up of stacked cigar boxes and another just a partial view of clothes? Makes me feel like this is a wasted opportunity... or that the rest of the space isn't worth seeing.
